I like stuff. I also like things. These things used to only include make-up, dresses, good* jeans, high heels, various beauty products to make me: less shiny, pimple free, and have silky, silky hair. Since become a running addict (“Hello, my name is B.o.B. and I’m a running addict.”) I have expanded my materialistic ways to running clothes, shoes, magazines, races, gadgets and various supplements.
Lucky for me, there are gobs of running related products out there. Lucky for you, I will attempt to try all of them. Ok, well not me personally but I figure I can at least help us all out by posting links to other bloggers who do product reviews. Here is the first issue of I like stuff, brought to you by your fellow bloggers and you!
The Running Fat Guy reviews heart rate monitors. Here and here.
Chasin’ Bunnies reviews Nuun.
Honey Stinger as reviewed by Run Faster Mommy blogger Heather.
The Un-athletic Runner reviews Joint Juice.
The Runner Dude tries The Right Stuff.
I am going to try to do this periodically as I see a bunch of products being tested and reviewed by various bloggers. Feel free to email a post if you do a review yourself. This is so great b/c that way I won’t overdose on new energy gels and will still have money for groceries!
* Good jeans are the pricey ones that make your buns look like steel.
P.S. Head over to I Run Because I Can to enter to win a sweet bag from High Sierra.
ooohh! I really like your idea!!
My little running hobby has become quite an expensive one lately (haha) and I love reading about new running products! I wish I were a millionaire so I can try them all out myself!
Joint Juice sounds really interesting….
PS I used by free chocolate coupon today 🙂 now thats a review 😉
I like reviews too, that is how I found the blogging world!
Great idea to link to reviews. Getting new stuff is half the fun of being an athlete!
cool cool! Now that I'm trying to get "serious" about running (not like I'm out to qualify for the olympics, but you know) I like to read these sort of reviews! thanks for including one of mine!
Hey BOB! ; – ) Thanks for coming to visit my blog today!! I love your blog- you are a riot and I enjoy your humor! Well I can really relate to this post. And what I want to know is where can I get those JEANS!!!! lol Seriously- I'm actually kind of bummed because I had a pretty good butt for a 45 yr old but feel like I lost some of it with all this working out. My jeans lately are hanging on the lovely butt area. Well they actually started to hang every where so I bought the next smallest size. Cool- they fit great on the waist and legs….awesome. And on the butt-great…UNTIL an hour passed and I sat and got up and sat and got up for things. Then they start sagging in the butt! Such huge problems here and I don't know how to solve this challenge! lol Basically….I want my butt back!!! But the other unwanted fat- no thanks….that can stay off! Christine
reviews of products are so helpful, so linking them is a great idea!
I love running gear! Thanks for posting the reviews, it is a great idea.
What a cool idea! Thanks for putting this info together 🙂 who can resist running gear
Nice one Bob. I love it how everyone says "running is so cheap – just you and you shoes"… this would be so true except for all the great gadgets they keep coming up with!
And magazines… we only have two over here. I'm a bit too scared to find out how many US mags there are…
I'm obsessed with running BOOKS. I might just review some tomorrow, I think! Thanks for the idea!
Came over from SITS to say hi! This post reminded me of how much I miss running…and getting that high. awwwww
Thanks for the shout B.O.B! I'm glad you found my reviews helpful.
And you're right about the miles. Keep your nose to the grindstone, be patient and the miles are pretty easy. Six months ago I was in awe of people puttng in 40 miles a week. Never in a million years did I ever think that *I* would be doing more than 40. These days time is more the issue than miles. Unfortunately I still need to pay the bills….
I think that's a great way to 1) highlight other bloggers and 2) introduce products. I read your bio that says you're a lazy runner, but you see….two marathons and a half one and getting the gear and products makes you a REAL runner. I, on the other hand, jog only a couple of miles maybe a couple times a week. THAT's lazy runner syndrome. 🙂 Blog hopping from SITS roll call. Happy Hump Day.
I need to get less shopping for running and more shopping for Good* Jeans done! 🙂 heheh
I've only reviewed laundry detergent. I yawned while typing that.
i think you sent some new traffic to my blog with this post – had all kinds of new 'faces' at my blog (couldn't figure out why) which is cool b/c new blogs to check out in return. So thanks!
My boyfriend runs marathons but as much as I try i just cant do it!

this is a really cool idea…I'll check it out!
Yup, I'm a running gear junkie, too!!
thanks for the links, I'm going to have to pretend that I'm working while I read all of them!
