Thankful Thursday

Today's Thankful Thursday is brought to you by Redbull and carbs! I'm pretty sleepy today from the Peas concert last night. It was a great show. I may have a video for you all from it tomorrow....

Ludacris pretty much ruled, the Black Eyed Peas were outstanding, but LMFAO has got to be joking. If you don't know who they are, google them. And be amazed by the sheer ridiculousness. The entire time they were on, I kept thinking, "I'm either too old to get this, or they are straight up f*cking with us." They sing the song from The Kardashians ("I'm in Miami trick...").

I've only got one long run left and it's a 22 on Saturday. I think I'm ready for it and am battling the what ifs. In fact, I got this pretty sweet email from Coach EK and today, it's what I am thankful for.

"What if...

You start out at the right pace.
You trained exactly right.
Your stomach cooperates fully.
You miss every pothole and bump in the road.
You pass every speedy kid/prego lady/juggler/Elvis Impersonator/whoever

What if indeed."

What are you thankful for today?

What if I had one marathon where everything just all came together exactly. Oh, I had that once...and only once. But that's what makes it that much more of a challenge, huh!!?? Happy Thursday!! :)

What if we have a most excellent run and then mow down on some brunch afterwards and have lots of random @ss conversation along the way... oh wait there's no what if's involved, that is all a given! See you tomorrow!!!

P.S. Did Luda sing his new song? Cuz that shit cracks me up... or at least the video does!

Stay positive. You should print that email and post it in various places so that you could look at it whenever the whatif syndrome begins to creep up on you.

Maybe they call themselves LMFAO cause that is what people are doing in reference to them. They are ridiculous!

I'm thankful that I'm having a fairly easy pregnancy... BTW, everytime I see you mention prego running the marathon, I think back to October when I ran the San Francisco Half while 13 weeks pregnant. Since it was so early other runners didn't know. :) But you would've beat me... I finished in 2:15- not bad for a pregnant girl. You'll do great in Gasparilla!

oops 15 weeks prego. ;)

i am thankful for having the willpower to go run later than normal tonight after a work function instead of being a bum and taking the night off - got in a great workout. :)

Ok but I like running to "I'm in Miami B*tch" it's kinda fun to wiggle my head around and stuff ... the rest of their songs suck and they look like a couple of nerds! I saw them at the Grammys (I say this as if I was there and all).

What if you are just totally awesome no matter what?

Actually, the original title of the song was "I'm in Miami Bitch", but that wasn't going to go over too well on Carson Daly. I think LMFAO is hilarious and I'm an old guy! They play an active role on my running playlist.
